         Communication can be verbal and non-verbal. With the advancement of technology, people have grown used to staying in their comfort zones. In 5 years time, it may be unnecessary to leave home to go to work or carry out daily activities. Our interpretation of communication inspired us to turn the streets into a social space of the future. The streets were selected as it is accessible to everyone regardless of race, gender, religion, or disabilities.

        Our proposal is inspired by the aspects of social media which allow each person to express themselves freely and anonymously. The future social space will be technologically-equipped to enable people to interact without communicating physically. With the integration of sensors, segments of the street are able to inflate or deflate according to the emotions of each individual. A hologram system then projects images from the light strips embedded on the street depending on the emotions of the particular person. The motion creates an indirect relationship between the people on the street and the people below. In addition, the proposed 3D-printed exoskeleton below the street surface is designed to generate energy through compressions which would add an element of sustainability to the scheme.
