FLEXIBILITY

The idea of the flexible arrangement of furniture was derived from the initial sectional drawing of the Foster's House where the entire architecture space was constructed by the fixed system (exposed beam structure and the flooring system). But when looking into detail of the section, the furniture as objects was the one that creates and defined the character of the domestic space that provides the user with a sense of belongings.

ADAPTABILITY

The idea of adaptability was one of the design strategy used in the proposal where the configuration of the house can be seen as a modular system where the system is adaptable to various site condition as the flexibility of modules allows flexible arrangement.

CONTROLLABLE ENVIRONMENT

By imagining the future scenario of the natural environment, the image of the future is a total unknown as it could be an uncontrollable environment due to the environment issue faced nowadays or it could also be an environment that remains unchanged. Therefore, in this proposal, the imagined future house that was proposed is a house designed with a controllable space where the interior part of the house segregates the users from the outside world with the integration of the advanced technological skin of the house.
