The concept of the Nature Appreciation Centre is derived from the orang Asli of Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak. The selected site is located at Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak which is well known for its nature activities such as fishing, bird watching, camping and visiting orang Asli settlements. The orang Asli love nature where everything they used is based on nature such as their food source, construction and handicraft materials. Besides, the Orang Asli are unrestrained towards nature.

 

         Thus, the concept "BORDERLESS" was derived from the unrestrained towards nature of Orang Asli in Pulau Banding. The word “Border-less” were derived from where there is less boundary, unrestrained by enclosures and spaces are physically as well as visually connected. Lastly, the main intention of this proposal is to bring users closer to nature by experiencing and appreciating nature as they are part of it without being restricted.
